Wecome to Aldridge Voluntary Animal Rescue
Aldridge Voluntary Animal Rescue (AVAR) was founded over twenty years ago. We are a small team of dedicated volunteers who give up our time and homes to care for abandoned, abused and unwanted dogs in and around the borough. We use a combination of foster homes and private boarding kennels to house the dogs while we actively seek suitable new homes. We also home check all potential new owners. We strongly believe in the speying and neutering of all dogs to reduce unwanted litters, which in turn become unwanted adult dogs therefore we spey and neuter all dogs that come into our care. We will also provide financial assistance to owners who want to get their own pet speyed or neutered (dependant on circumstance). We are supported by kind donations and continuous fundraising efforts. To find out how you can help us please see our How You Can Help Us page.
