Search Meet April! This beautiful, whippet-sized Lurcher with a strong Collie streak is ready to find her forever home! When April arrived in foster care, she was absolutely terrified of everything. It took six hours of gentle coaxing just to bring her into the house, and even then, she only felt safe enough to stay in the kitchen. Through patience and love, April has blossomed into a sweet, snuggly companion. In early May (on my birthday, no less!), she trusted me enough to let me touch her for the first time—a huge milestone! Since then, we’ve worked entirely at her pace, and she has made incredible progress. What April Needs in Her Forever Home: A loving, patient, and understanding family who will let her settle in her own time. A quiet, calm home where she can feel safe and continue building her confidence. An owner who understands that she can be a little “spicy” when scared, requiring a gentle approach, especially with new experiences like the lead. A home without cats, as April is not cat-friendly. April is still on her journey of overcoming fears, but her transformation so far has been nothing short of amazing. With the right family, she’ll thrive and bring endless love and loyalty.
