Foxy - being rehomed by Evesham Lurcher Rescue

Foxy has just arrived in her foster home, we think she is about 5 years old and she seems to be in poor condition, very underweight but as you can see she has made herself at home update This lovely, goofy, playful girl has put on 3kg taking her up to her ideal weight of approx. 19kg. She has been spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She is a tiny girl at 22 inches to the shoulder and a real character. She absolutely loves to cuddle and will need some reminding to keep 4 paws on the floor as she always wants to hug like a human. Her shoulder wound has healed up brilliantly and the fur is growing back nicely. She can be strong on the lead and get overexcited when she sees other dogs, but she is dog friendly and would love to live with another dog/s. She gets quite upset when her foster dad goes out as she’s very bonded with him so being left at home is likely something that will need managing whilst she settles in to her new home, but she has been left successfully for a few hours with her foster siblings and does settle, so with time and patience she will get there. Foxy has been with us for just over a week now and she’s taking to home life very well as you can see! She’s a tiny lurcher, approx. 23″ to the shoulder and probably won’t weigh more than 18kg once she’s up to weight. She’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer by any stretch of the imagination and makes us laugh with her goofy antics, but she is second to none in her ability to love. Despite having been so let down by humans in the past, she wants to be friends with everyone she meets and absolutely loves to cuddle. She’s starting to put some much-needed weight on and beginning to have spurts of playfulness. On the whole though, she is a very calm, easy girl and settles down happily with her foster siblings during the day. She sleeps through the night in our room. Her house training is a bit hit and miss at the moment, she’s not quite cracked going to the door to alert us so we have to watch her closely and anticipate when she might need to go. Not cat tested but she is good with dogs and would probably like to live with another similar dog. She is a gentle soul and good with children but may knock little ones over with her cuddles, so probably best to live with kids aged 6+ who are dog savvy. She travels well in the car. She is awaiting her second vaccination and needs to be spayed so is not ready for a home yet but whoever gets to adopt her will be very lucky indeed. Get in touch with us about this lovely dog!
