Groot being rehomed by Evesham Lurcher Rescue

Male
2 Years
Smooth Coat
27″ to shoulder
Good with other dogs
Not good with cats
Good with children 14+
When Groot first arrived in foster, everything was exciting and he wanted his nose in absolutely everything. As he’s settled, he’s learned to relax and his lovely personality has really shone through. He travels well in the car, sleeps through the night, has good recall in the garden, and is picking up new commands quickly. Groot is a big, goofy character who will make you laugh every day, but he’s also a huge cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his people. Around the house he’s known as “Grooty with the Booty”, “Grootilicious”, and “Merry Grootmas” – nicknames that suit his larger-than-life personality perfectly.
Groot has a rough, bouncy play style and is still learning his doggy manners, so we think he is happy to be an only dog in the home or can go with another large bouncy dog maybe a female would work better for him. He walks well on the lead but is a strong boy who loves stopping to sniff every interesting smell, so he’ll need a confident handler who can keep him moving. He can be left for short periods, especially if he has plenty to keep him occupied with chew toys or bones.
Due to his size and enthusiastic nature, we feel Groot would be best suited to a home with older children. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a playful spirit, a great sense of humour, and endless love to give, Groot could be your perfect match.
MAY 26 Please meet a very sad soul who arrived in the rescue a couple of weeks ago.
Groot means big, large or great and this boy started off as a twig, we hope he will grow into a beautiful tree. Groot is around 2 years old, he came in in appalling condition, absolutely emaciated, fur loss, matted ears, tail wound, no muscle tone, just skeletal.

UPDATE: Groot came into the rescue as a stray. After gaining some much-needed weight, he has embraced life and is enjoying exploring the world and learning all about being a much-loved family member. Groot is a big, long-legged Saluki with an affectionate, fun-loving personality. He loves meeting people, leans into you for fuss, and will happily climb onto your lap, completely unaware of his size. He adores his ball, toys, and his paddling pool, where you’ll often find him happily lying on hot days.

HONEY - DUTCH HERDER X - HOMING BY MAX & GEORGE TRUST

HONEY - DUTCH HERDER X - HOMING BY MAX & GEORGE TRUST

Honey is approx 4 years old who is speyed and looking for an experienced home where they can build on her confidence and further her training.

Sadly, Honey, her brother & their pup proved to much for their previous family and kept in a small box room.  Consequently, this meant that the dogs were rarely walked and under socialised which was immediately evident in their behaviour upon arriving in rescue.

Honey was extremely triggered by birds, chasing & pulling and barking even when in the sky which are all associated with a high prey drive and under socialisation.  A very anxious young girl.

Moving on and with the training and understanding of the rescue Honey now enjoys her walks and content to spend her time with nose to floor, taking in all the smells instead of watching the sky.

Her trainer believes in the right home, where the family will stick to the training plan she will continue to thrive.

If interested in Honey please contact Lauren @ M&G Trust on 07523366738

Rolo Being rehomed by New Leash of Life Rescue

Rolo Being rehomed by New Leash of Life Rescue

Meet Rolo 🐾

Breed: Old Tyme Bulldog
Age: 5 years
✅ Neutered
✅ Fully vaccinated
Rolo is a handsome, affectionate boy looking for an adult-only home where he can continue to flourish.
Like many rescue dogs, Rolo comes with a few quirks, but he also has a huge heart and so much love to give.
Rolo has a strong prey drive, so he cannot live with cats or other small furry animals. He walks beautifully on the lead most of the time, although if something catches his eye, his excitement can get the better of him. He is also vocal when he sees other dogs out on walks and will bark and pull towards them. This is something he’s already making progress with, but he’ll need an owner who is committed to continuing his socialisation and positive training.
Rolo has lived happily alongside the resident foster dog, but he can resource guard food. Because of this, we feel he would be happiest as the only dog in the home, or with someone experienced who understands resource guarding and is confident managing it safely.
Now for the fun part…
Rolo absolutely adores water! Whether it’s a paddle or a swim, if there’s water nearby, you’ll probably find him in it. He loves long walks, adventures and exploring, so he’d be a wonderful companion for someone with an active lifestyle.
He’s completely obsessed with his toys—especially tennis balls! He can become so excited that he forgets his manners and jumps up in his enthusiasm, but it’s all part of his wonderfully goofy personality.
Most of all, Rolo loves people. He wants to be close to his humans, whether that’s joining you on an adventure or simply relaxing together at home. As his confidence grows, so does his personality. His deep, comical “woofs,” goofy grin and dramatic flops onto his back for belly rubs never fail to make everyone laugh.

NESSIE BEING REHOMED BY BOYCIES BRIDGE

NESSIE BEING REHOMED BY BOYCIES BRIDGE

Nessie is a 4 yr old beautiful natured staffy.  She is spey and fully vaccinated.  Nessie can get a little itchy on her skin but if kept on strictly grain free, and fish based no issue.  As you can see our Nessie needs to go to weight watcher and so is on diet and exercise routine which in her new home she must keep to until a nice slim girl.

Nessie is good around other dogs but we feel that she would be more comfortable with a calmer male or on her own.

If interested Nessie go onto Boycies Bridge facebook page and see more information.

OREN being rehomed by Evesham Lurcher Rescue

OREN being rehomed by Evesham Lurcher Rescue

Meet Oren 🐾Age: 3 yearsWeight: 19kgHeight: 23 inches to the shoulderHi, I’m Oren! I’ve been enjoying life in my foster home for a little while now while I wait for my forever family to find me. My foster mum thought it was time to tell you a little more about me.I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who could happily live with another well-matched dog, or equally enjoy being the only dog in the home. I love playing with other dogs, as long as they’re kind to me—I can be a bit of a softie and don’t appreciate bullies!Because I have a strong chase instinct, I’m not suitable to live with cats or any small furry animals. For the same reason, I need to stay on lead when out and about, as I know I’d struggle to resist chasing wildlife if I got the chance. I do get excited when I spot squirrels or cats on walks, but when there aren’t any distractions, I walk beautifully on the lead.I’m a great traveller and love hopping in the car for new adventures. I settle down quickly and travel really well.I’m fully house-trained and always make sure I do my business outside. I’m also happy to be left home alone for around 3–4 hours. During that time, I’ll most likely curl up for a nap, so I’m not destructive and I don’t have any accidents.Food is one of my favourite things! I have lovely manners around food and treats, happily eating alongside other dogs without any issues. When taking treats from people, I’m always gentle and never snatch.I’m lucky to have lots of doggy friends in my neighbourhood and love meeting new dogs with a wagging tail. I’m a very social lad who enjoys making new friends wherever I go.At home, nothing beats cuddle time on the sofa. I absolutely love affection and quality time with my people. Sometimes I forget I’m not actually a lap dog and try to squeeze on for extra cuddles! I’m also an excellent supervisor, whether you’re cooking, gardening, or doing jobs around the house. In fact, I’m quite the enthusiastic gardener myself—I happen to think I’m an expert hole digger thanks to plenty of practice! My new home will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing, as I can jump surprisingly high if I catch the scent of a deer or spot a cheeky squirrel running along the fence. While I’m very friendly and sociable with adults, I do find young children quite worrying and become stressed around them. Because of this, I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can feel safe, relaxed and truly be myself. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who enjoys adventures, cuddles, and being part of everyday family life, I could be the perfect match. I can’t wait to find my forever home.Male3 YearsSmooth Coat22″ to shoulderGood with other dogsNot good with catsNot good with childrenVideoBackGet in touch with us about this lovely dog!Pip: 01386 853971 (Weekdays after 5pm, Weekends anytime)Linda: 01212 584510 (Weekdays after 5pm, Weekends 10am – 10pm)mail@lurcher.org.uk
