Lola - being rehomed by Aldridge Rescue - not ready for adoption but please read her write up

Lola is a 6 yr gsd who sadly came into our rescue after the owners had taken her to vets due to having diarrhoea. When vets mention treatment they ask for her to be put to sleep. Thankfully the vets and nurses at Island Vets said no and asked us to take on. Sadly cause Lola hadn't received treatment earlier then her body condition was poor and she was very skinny. Lola is in foster care and unfortunately her weight has been up and down and has still been suffering with diarrhoea on and off. After blood tests and scans the vets can't find cause and so she is on a 6 week course of strong antibiotics for 6 weeks and hypoallergenic food. Good news she has put on 3.2kg. Lola is such a super dog and has settled into her foster home which she shares with 3 other dogs, cats, kids and ferrets. She is such a sweet nature gentle girl that you can't believe how her owners didn't fight for her Lola will not be available for adoption until she has finished her treatment and check by our vet so please watch this space
